Our Story

Founded in 2019 by culinary enthusiasts Sarah Chen and Michael Rodriguez, Provision Palates emerged from a simple observation: extraordinary restaurants deserved access to extraordinary ingredients. What started as a small operation connecting three local farms with five restaurants has evolved into California's premier artisan food distribution network.

Our journey began when Sarah, a former restaurant manager, and Michael, with his background in sustainable agriculture, recognized the gap between passionate producers creating exceptional artisanal foods and restaurants seeking authentic, high-quality ingredients. They witnessed talented chefs settling for mediocre ingredients simply because finding and coordinating with multiple small producers was too complex and time-consuming.

Today, we partner with over 150 carefully vetted artisan producers across California, from family-owned cheese makers in Sonoma County to heritage grain farmers in the Central Valley. We've built relationships with more than 300 restaurants, from intimate neighborhood bistros to award-winning establishments. Our commitment extends beyond mere distribution – we're curators of culinary excellence, ensuring every product meets our rigorous standards for quality, sustainability, and authenticity.
